Shopping on Friday... 60% saved

I had a list of things to do and an 18 month old to tag along. As we are getting ready to literally walk out the door the phone rings and it is a call I have to take. That call added 2 more stops to my already long list of things to do. But it needed to be dealt with.

Went shopping at CVS:
First Transaction:
2 Nivea Body Wash for Women 6.29 ea
1 Nivea Body Wash for Men 6.29 ea
-2 $2/1 Nivea Body Wash for Women
-1 $1/1 Nivea Body Wash for Men

Total before Savings: 18.87
Total Savings: $5.00
Total OOP: $13.87 plus I got $5.00 ECB or 27%

Second Transaction:
3 pkgs of Huggies Movers Diapers $7.99/ea -sale
- 3 $3/1 Huggies Coupons
- 5 ECB from first transaction

Total Before Savings: $37.65
Total Savings: $26.00
Total OOP: $11.29 or 69%

Bi-Lo
4 Finish Dish Detergent BOGO
4 Milo Dog Treats BOGO
1 Scott Natural Paper Towel $6.99
1 Cottenelle Toilet Paper $6.99
- (2) $1/1 Finish Dish Detergent
-(2) $0.75/1 Finish Dish Detergent (my Bi-Lo doubles up to $0.99)
-(2) $1/1 Milo Dog Treats
-(1) $2/2 Milo Dog Treats (Harris Teeter Catalina Coupon)
-(1) $1/1 Scott's Natural Paper Towels
-(1) $1/1 Walgreens Scott Natural Paper Towels
-(1) $.75/1 Cottenelle
-(1) $1.00/1 Cottenelle E-Coupon

Total Before Savings: $50.29
Total Savings: $33.08
Total OOP: $19.11 or   65%

So even though my first transaction at CVS didn't have the greatest savings it still had savings. So all in all not awful, but lets not discuss my shopping trip to Target (that list is long and lengthy). I only saved around 25% there. But I still saved and that is the goal.
